[Mariza, Stubborn Donkey]

What an ass!

The spinning scene was great! I have an English Bulldog that acts in a similar way. She has to go upstairs to sleep and never wants to climb up, but once there is just fine. My music however is a dog bone.

Well done! I am not surprised this won at a festival. I am surprised it didn't win more. The emotion and expression on the donkey is bar none, top notch!

Why would you ever think that ANYONE would want to watch you fuck around in Photoshop? Just stick to posting this garbage to your deviant art account. Newgrounds if for ANIMATIONS, not a sad sack, junky, cant even be called filler, blam point waiting to happen.

Well, that was less then friendly, but ok. Newgrounds is for all form of art, not just animations. Maybe I´m wrong, but then at least I wouldn´t be the only one. There is sounds to the video, I don´t know what happened to it though, so I guess I have to give you that one.

This whole "watch me draw something" fad is a fucking blight on the Newgrounds. Its not animation, its a fucking video. Post this crap on your deviant art page or something, not on the Grounds. You said it yourself, you dont talk and the music isn't yours. Who really wants to sit for 5 minutes and watch a sped up video, VIDEO of some douche playing around in Photoshop?!

Stand up and agree to stop this blight, and encourage your friends to do the same. NOT ANIMATION! Not even a "how to" in the strictest sense, simply because you dont talk.

So congrats, you have video capture, Photoshop and Flash. Now if you could only draw.....

Also you have given her a man face. A very manly face!

As you might know, it´s pretty difficult to post a vid like this on deviantart.
Next to that did the newground crew accept the video, so it ain´t wrong to post it here.

Also learn your programs.
I´m not drawing in photoshop. The drawing program I use is called Painttoolsai.

Also I never called this video a tutorial or " how to". This video is a speedpaint.
Do yourself a favour and google the word speedpaint before you judge.

I think you responded very rude and pretty much all your critics are useless.
Your whole post has nothing to do with the speedpaint I made.

Great stuff, love the mix of different animation styles. This team did a great job, the quality is superb. The dedication of the crew really shines through. Is easy to tell ya'll wanted to really make something wonderful and unique here.

Was this group of artists just some sort of school project, or will there be more to come?

Not bad at all, you're on a good path here. The artwork is great and the animations are almost all well done. The smoke pouring out of the center building in the second animation looked shitty though, instead of a natural look it just had sharp corners and was looked very bad, very cut and paste. Take some time with that and animate the smoke pouring from different windows and converging into a smoke column that is further moved by wind? Just saying sharp edges at the bottom of the smoke makes it look very bad and lazy compared to the quality of the zombies movement in both segments. I especially like the dirt being thrown when the head pops out of the ground.

With some color and shading, sound, longer run time and the same level of art, this would be great to watch. Hell you dont even need a story/plot. Just animate what you think a zombie infested city would look like to anyone peeking out of a window or watching from afar and you have yourself front page level work easily. Granted this will only happen with the aforementioned improvements included, but you are without doubt on the correct path to that reward.

Lets see what you can do with this animation to make it even better, I see a ton of potential here, and more than enough skill to make it a reality.

God damn, a real blast from the past right here! So many of us have been waiting since 2005 for you to return Meony to the grounds! I didnt believe it was true when this showed up on my NG home page. My disappointment that this is only a teaser in comic book format is palpable, but over ridden by my absolute exuberance that this came back from the dead, even if the story is going to be different. Cant say as I like that idea, but it's not my place to make that call, its yours as the artist/creator.

Lets see if this takes off, or falls flatter than my hopes in 05 when MM first died of neglect. I have to ask though, why a new story? The first was never finished and so many of us loved what was there in the original animation! Why not work with that instead of a total reboot? Format/style I can understand, but I cant fathom why the new direction in the story....

I'm starting over because I learned a whole world of information about storytelling, art and animation since I first started. You'll find that many of the things that happened in the original will happen in the comic, but in different places. I'm a different person now and want to tell a deeper story while still being true to what people liked. A dozen pages in, tell me if you're still disappointed, and if so, thats on me :)

I suppose the "dont be an ass" comment is because of me? Glad I could so profoundly effect you. Too bad it didn't change up the animation you produce?

So where to begin? Lack of sound effects? Yea thats a problem. Your animation has zero timing, let me explain that. Your animation slows down a lot. I know there where parts where you wanted to show some slow motion for dramatic effect, but it happened in so many places, the start of the fight, when the fighters came together, the "powering up" on the black stick, the red stick's punch that had the "heat" behind it, moving across the room, getting thrown through the window, going out the window after him, falling, bouncing off the pavement... you get the idea. Your "BFF" picture even changes position.

The last scene was just super lazy, static camera and some writing over everything while a sound clip plays in the background? Hell even some speech bubbles would have shown you truly gave a damn, but since it looks like you did everything in MS Paint I guess you dont really care about the quality of your own animation.

Ohh yea, and it loops. There is no reason for it to loop other than the fact you didn't care enough to finish it properly. Seeing it once is bad enough, looping it just punishes the viewer with subsequent forced viewing.

Stick fighting animation can be good, but when its bad, like this is, you bring the genera down a notch. Badly done stick is right up there with badly done Krinkles ripoffs as far as choking the portal with junk.

You obviously have some drive to animate, why pump out junk as fast as you can, when slowing down, taking your time and really working on a project will get you the acclaim you are seeking?

You may not like the last comment I made for your digital abortion, and dont think I didn't notice you changed your comment either, but notice its marked as "helpful"? If you dont like the harsh criticism, maybe, and this is just a thought, try and improve your work before you post it where anyone, such as myself, can watch and review it?

Zero effort = zero stars. Better luck next time. But its not luck you need, but hard work and desire to improve your art.

Thanks, I forgot the sound effects, plus I did had a start button, but I had to remove because the converter had problems and tho it wont continue, and then i forgot. I don't really know what you mean by "MS Paint", cause from what I see, it's smooth. Whatever shit you say, okay. But anyways, thanks for the honest review again? And please, I worked REALLY hard on this, and I did not rushed. The part I rushed was when the he landed, and dam after that. My hands start to hurt. Thanks for your review, got used to it. Oh, btw, it wasn't a punch, it was him grabbing.

I like it, your style is really neat. Super god damned creepy too. Its a real 180 from your usual style, but still similar enough to tell its you. Full on 5 stars for going outside your norm and maybe even comfort zone *?* and experimenting.
